Step into Spring Self ‘FULL’ Sunday
Sunday April 28th, Radisson Blu Hotel Durham, 9.00 – 5.00
The perfect way to step into the season of Spring leaving you feeling rested and rejuvenated!
Spring is one of my favourite months. The days are noticeably longer, you begin to feel a warmth in the air and the world finally starts to come back to life again. And for me Spring is the perfect season for upping the self care game. Plenty of opportunity for venturing outdoors and topping up that vitamin D and so many delicious fruits and vegetables coming into season.
We’ll be taking our usual walk along the beautiful riverside in Durham, indulging in a gorgeous 60min restorative yoga class with Elaine and for this event only Paula will be delivering a fabulous smoothie demonstration and tasting session and suggesting simple and easy options for increasing your fruit and veg intake.
Take this opportunity to nourish the body, mind and soul and to up your self care game this Spring leaving you feeling fabulous!
Your day includes:
A delicious fruitful smoothie demonstration and tasting session looking at the healing power of fruit and how to easily incorporate more into our diet. (I’ll also be doing a bonus session on the amazing benefits of celery juice)
A relaxing riverside walk with Paula taking in views of Durhams historic cathedral and surrounding countryside.
A gorgeous 60 min restorative yoga session with yoga expert Elaine Smith.
A delicious buffet style vegetarian lunch prepared fresh for us by the chefs at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
A full afternoon of rest and relaxation in the Radisson’s very own leisure suite including pool, sauna and jacuzzi. (Includes use of robe and towel and exclusive offers on any additional spa treatments).
There will also be tea and coffee and light refreshments available on arrival and throughout the morning.
Can I still participate if I am new to yoga?
Yes, this will be a restorative yoga session which will be designed to accommodate all abilities.
What will I need to bring with me on the day?
You will need to wear something suitable for a relaxed walk (including appropriate footwear) and also to participate in the yoga session. You will also need to bring swimwear for use in the leisure facilities in the afternoon. Although yoga equipment will be supplied please do feel free to bring your own yoga mat should you wish.
Are you able to accommodate dietary requirements?
The buffet is being prepared fresh for us by the hotel. It will be a vegetarian buffet but if you have any further dietary requirements then we will do our very best to accommodate them and ensure you have an enjoyable lunch. Should you wish to discuss this further then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Am I able to book additional spa treatments?
Although spa treatments are not included in the price of the day you are more than welcome to add a little more indulgence to your afternoon by booking additional spa treatments. You will need to do this directly with the spa by calling them on 0191 372 7223 or head to their website for more details. Discounts are available on Spa treatments. Simply mention you are attending a Be Happy Be Bright Be You event on booking.
Where is the best place for me to park?
The hotel has a car park that can take up to 130 cars and is fairly reasonably priced (£5 for 8 hours). Alternatively you could also park at the Sands car park next to Freeman’s Quay leisure centre and cross over the bridge to the hotel entrance.
How far is the hotel from the train station?
The hotel is in central Durham down on the riverside. If you are arriving by train it will be roughly a 20-25min walk to the hotel or alternatively you could grab a taxi from the station itself which would only take around 10min.
